China’s health authorities on Sunday reported 30 additional cases of novel coronavirus infection on the mainland, of which 25 were imported, as well as three more deaths.
The National Health Commission said in its daily report that the new infections, detected in the 24 hours to the end of Saturday, bring the overall national tally of symptomatic cases to 81,669. Of that figure, the total number of imported cases stands at 913.
All five new cases of local transmission were reported in the southern coastal province of Guangdong, it said.
The three deaths occurred in worst-hit Hubei Province, taking the total number of fatalities on the mainland to 3,329.
